Anyone hear of a Vermeer 606 PTO Chipper? I just bought one…

I just bought one. The Vermeer 606 pto chipper is the same as the Vermeer BC625 towable, without the towability or engine. 625 = 6" capacity & 25 HP engine, typically a Kohler, sometimes a Honda. I have one. works great within it's limits/ a 6" log is hard to feed due to the feed roller spring tension.

For your tractor hp. you should try for 10 hp. for every inch of dia. wood you want to chip. So for a 4 to 6 inch chipper you should have minimum of 40 to 60 pto hp. Less hp. will do it but you will be beating the crap out of your tractor. As for a chipper spend the extra money and get one with hydraulic feed.
